Final outcome

In my final outcome, I aim to channel the style of Stephen Shore who has previously inspired my work. Relating to the concept of the "everyday", some of Shore's photos include images of meals/food, in which I will photograph aswell. In my final Outcome, I intend on taking 6 several different pictures of a breakfast cafe and people's meals, drinks or even newspapers, fundamentally iconography that also relates to the "everyday". However, although Stephen Shore is an inspiration, another artist that has inspired me is Sophie Calle. She goes into hotels and sneaks into momentarily unoccupied rooms to photograph things like unmade beds, or stray items lying around, or even the contents of people's suitcases, which encompasses the notion of the everyday. This approach however, is more voyeuristic than what I intend to do but I am interested in the way that she layouts her final outcomes. The format that she uses is appealing to me because I feel that seeing the work as a series or a collection enhances the notion of the everyday experience, rather than a single captured moment in time.

Furthermore, In Sophie Calle's images, she also adds a passage of text to support the images. This is also a concept in which i wish to incorporate onto my final outcome to accompany my series of images. However, I am going to alter this technique, by cutting passages of text on a newspaper instead and sticking it next to the collection of photographs to create an appearance of an actual newspaper article. On my way to school, I usually see a stack of the Metro in which people usually grab during their everyday commute to work, or wherever their destination.  Therefore, I chose to relate my final outcome to a newspaper as that is generally associated as an "everyday" item.

As you can see, I intend on experimenting with varitations of shot sizes to convey different effects within the images. For example, I am going to use a Long shot of a Cafe to establish the location, yet I am going to use a close up to capture an image of a cup of tea to emphasize how relevant the object is to the notion of everyday.
